Alice Douglas is a qualified acupuncturist practising Traditional Chinese Medicine. She holds a Masters of Science degree in Women’s Health. She is a Member of the British Acupuncture Council, a published author in the Journal of Chinese Medicine, and a Lecturer at the City College of Acupuncture.
Alice works with a wide range of patients and is particularly known for her expertise in complex chronic conditions and hormone-related health. Combining her deep understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a modern, evidence-informed approach to hormonal and reproductive health, she offers care that is truly holistic.
A Tailored, Individual Approach
At the heart of Alice’s practice is the belief that health care should be personal. Traditional Chinese Medicine has always recognised the uniqueness of every individual—an approach often lost in today’s fast-paced medical systems. Each treatment with Alice is tailored to your needs, helping to restore balance in both body and mind and often inspiring a deeper connection to yourself and your environment.
Beyond the treatment room, Alice offers practical, achievable advice on diet and lifestyle, blending insights from both Chinese and biomedical perspectives.
Alice’s Journey
Alice’s relationship with acupuncture began in childhood, when she received treatment for a chronic neurological condition. Experiencing the profound impact it had on her quality of life inspired her to pursue this path as her life’s work. She began her studies at 18, completing a three-year degree in acupuncture at the City College of Acupuncture with First Class Honours—making her one of the youngest qualified practitioners in the field.
