We have strong working relationships with leading fertility clinics, Consultant Gynaecologists and Embryologists across London. All our acupuncturists have postgraduate training in fertility acupuncture and are members of the Acupuncture Fertility Network. Our approach provides comprehensive support for patients navigating fertility treatment and reproductive challenges.
Who do we work with? We work with both couples and individuals looking to build their family or preserve their fertility. We are experienced working with couples and individuals using sperm or egg donors. Every form of family building is welcome. Acupuncture and IVF
Acupuncture within the IVF process is well documented to have a significant treatment effect in improving the birth rates of sub-fertile women undergoing IVF or ICSI. Treatment supports follicular development, endometrial receptivity, uterine blood flow, medication side effects and emotional wellbeing.
Alice has personally conducted research on acupuncture within the IVF process, working closely with Dr Srividya Seshadri. This work means A D Acupuncture stays up to date with the very latest in IVF developments as well as acupuncture research.
Acupuncture is of most benefit when delivered in the months leading up to, and through out the IVF process. As a cumulative medicine, the effects compound over time. Led by acupuncturist and researcher, Alice Douglas. Alice holds a Masters of Science degree in Women’s Health from University College London. She is a Member of the British Acupuncture Council, a published author in the Journal of Chinese Medicine, and a Lecturer at the City College of Acupuncture. Alice is born and raised in South East London, and loves working in the heart of the community in Brockley.
