All our acupuncturists at A D Acupuncture are members of the British Acupuncture Council and Acupuncture Fertility Network.

Alice Douglas is a qualified acupuncturist practising Traditional Chinese Medicine. She holds a Masters of Science degree in Women’s Health. She is a Member of the British Acupuncture Council, a published author in the Journal of Chinese Medicine, and a Lecturer at the City College of Acupuncture.
Alice works with a wide range of patients and is particularly known for her expertise in complex chronic conditions and hormone-related health. Combining her deep understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a modern, evidence-informed approach to hormonal and reproductive health, she offers care that is truly holistic.
Beyond the treatment room, Alice offers practical, achievable advice on diet and lifestyle, blending insights from both Chinese and biomedical perspectives.

Drew Hughes is a licensed Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncturist with a passion for supporting people through personalised, holistic care.
He was drawn to acupuncture after experiencing its powerful benefits in his own life after suffering from long-term back pain, and he now loves helping others reconnect with their health to feel more grounded, empowered and well in their daily lives.
He has a particular focus on women’s health, fertility, pregnancy and IVF support, and works to support people suffering with chronic conditions such as stress and anxiety, insomnia, digestive issues and pain.
He completed a three-year, first-class, degree-level licentiate with The City College of Acupuncture – where he now also works as a clinician in their student clinic, helping to support and train future acupuncturists. He is a fully insured member of the British Acupuncture Council, the UK’s largest professional organisation for acupuncturists. He has completed specialised training in fertility and IVF support and is a member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network. He is also a qualified yoga teacher.
Drew takes a gentle, empathetic, non-judgemental approach, and works collaboratively to offer helpful lifestyle adjustments so you can continue your healing at home. With each treatment, you can expect a calm, welcoming space where you feel heard, supported and cared for.

Ellie holds a first class degree in Biomedical Science and has spent the last five years working across quality control, diagnostic laboratories, and fertility care. She currently works in a Male Fertility Clinic across London and Manchester, analysing samples and supporting patients through their fertility testing at the clinic.
Since working in a fertility clinic, Ellie has seen first-hand how limited knowledge and understanding of male fertility and the testing options available can lead to heightened anxiety and delayed answers. She is passionate about reducing the stigma around male fertility testing and focusing on education by helping explain what happens in a fertility clinic, what to expect from fertility appointments, and who can offer support during their fertility journey.
Ellie aims to provide comfort, professionalism, and knowledge to help navigate and cut through the misinformation. She is committed to ensuring couples and individuals are empowered to understand how fertility testing can be utilised.
